🍒 Creamy Sour Cherry Smoothie (serves 1-2)

 

Ingredients:

• 1 cup sour cherries (fresh or frozen, pitted)

• 1 ripe banana (frozen is best, as it provides an extremely creamy texture)

• 150 ml liquid yogurt (plain, Greek or plant-based alternative, e.g. coconut)

• 100 ml almond or oat milk (can be adjusted according to desired thickness)

• 1 teaspoon honey (optional, depending on the acidity of the sour cherries)

• A pinch of vanilla powder or a few drops of vanilla essence

 

Preparation:

First pour the liquid (milk and yogurt) into a powerful blender, then add the sour cherries, banana pieces, vanilla and sweetener.

Blend everything on high speed for about 30 to 60 seconds, until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.

If the smoothie is too thick, add a little more milk. If you want a colder and thicker smoothie, add a few ice cubes.

Pour into a glass and garnish with a few whole cherries, a mint leaf, or a sprinkle of chia seeds, if desired.
