Easter egg are painted and decorated eggs for Easter.

Traditionally, they are painted with natural dyes, and today, modern techniques are also used.

The first painted egg is often red.

 

🧪 Recipes for natural colors

Onion peels

· golden brown

· put a lot of peels in 1 l of water, boil for 30–40 min, strain, add 2 tablespoons of vinegar.

 

Red cabbage

· blue/purple

· chop the cabbage, boil for 45 min, strain. Without vinegar – blue. With vinegar – purple.

 

Beetroot

· pink

· chop the beetroot, boil for 30 min, add vinegar. The color is delicate.

 

Turmeric

· sunny yellow

· 2 tablespoons of turmeric per 0.5 l of water, boil for 15 min. Add vinegar.

 

Coffee / tea

· dark brown

· a strong cup of coffee or black tea. Soak the egg for a longer time.

 

Blueberries (frozen)

· blue to gray

· boil them with a little water and vinegar. Nice cool color.
