Quick Apple Rolls

super easy

These quick apple rolls are great when you’re craving something sweet but don’t have much time.

Ingredients:

• 1 sheet of puff pastry (already rolled out)

• 2-3 medium apples

• 1 tablespoon butter

• 2-3 tablespoons brown sugar

• 1 teaspoon cinnamon

• 1 egg (for brushing)

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 180°C. Peel, core and dice the apples.

Melt the butter in a pan. Add the apples, sugar and cinnamon and fry for a few minutes until soft and caramelised. Set aside to cool slightly.

Roll out the puff pastry and cut into 6-8 rectangles.

Place a spoonful of apple filling in the centre of each rectangle. Fold the edges of the dough over and press them together with your fingers or a fork to prevent them from opening during baking.

Brush the rolls with beaten egg and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar if desired.
